Cellinstallation Trail

Experience live cello performance at close hand in Dublin city for free!

Expanding for the first time this year, Cellinstallation will involve live cellists to playing 45-60 min ‘pop-up’ concerts in various galleries and public spaces around the city.

12.00 Cellinstallation - IMMA The People’s Pavillion - Aongus Mac Amhlaigh : Cellist and singer, Aongus will play a set of his own songs and music.

13.00 - Cellinstallation - IMMA The People’s Pavilion - Sarah Moody : UK-based folk cellist Sarah will play a set of her own music and songs.

14.30 Cellinstallation – Hugh Lane Gallery, sculpture hall - Aki, - Cello Arpeggione d'Amore : On a special, custom-made instrument, the Cello Arpeggione, Aki will play a set of his own music and improvisations. He will be available to answer any questions about his unique, cello-based invention.

15.15 Cellinstallation National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks D7 - Ilse de Ziah : Ilse will play a set of her own music including her own arrangements of Irish traditional music.

17.00 Cellinstallation - Kirkos  Studios, Prussia Street, D7 (ex-Hair Academy) - Eimear Reidy : Eimear will play a set of her own music, songs and improvisations.
